aM i THE VILLIAN?
The bottomline is we are responsible for our progress.
If we are not making the progress we want to see, we have to ask ourselves why.
One area entrepreneurs struggle with the most is consistency.
I’ve discovered 3 reasons entrepreneurs, freelancers, & business owners are inconsistent.
Addressing these habits will transform your business & your entrepreneurial journey.
Team Too Much
Desiring to say no is not a sign that you are cold hearted. It is a sign of your awareness to you and your capacity. We replenish our capacity when we are able to complete a thing. We are inconsistent because we don't have the capacity to complete what we started. We are adding things to our plate that are not related and connected to the outcome we desire. Learning how to plan based on your distinction will expedite your progress & help to conserve your energy.
Team Not Now
A lack of attention and intention will cause you to sabotage your progress & exchange it for pleasure.
Thinking you have plenty of time can prolong your desired future and delay your joy. Happiness is not a substitute for joy. You enjoy most what you invest in. It seems tedious because you're not invested in & understand the necessity of the details that support the big picture.
But there is one more area where consistency struggles….
Team Too Slow
This is a unique combination of 2 teams mentioned above where time becomes the main focus. You are consistent until the results begin to take too long for you. This can cause one of two responses:
You seek to meet your need for immediate results by acquiring too much (too much advice, too many side-hustles, consider too many options, & seek too much irrelevant knowledge). In this case consistency isn't your problem, persistence is.
You view not getting the results you want as a sign that something needs to fixed or changed. Just like in team too much you sabotage your progress. Except in this case, you attempt to produce something to give you immediate results even if it that means abandoning ship. This is not a lack of consistency. This is an example of a lack of endurance.
There’s A Healthier Way
To be an entrepreneur, you have to invest and entrust. You have to invest the time, knowledge, & effort necessary to build and entrust the work produced will speak for itself and attract the right customer.
Consistently build what will anchor you, your business, & your clients. Invest in the proper solutions to keep you consistent.
Better Is Here
Don’t get caught in the trap of invisible work. Your work should build something that can produce on it’s own. Invisible work is when you put forth effort but nothing functional, progressive, or impactful was created.
